Australia's SMEs are feeling positive about business conditions for the first time since the GFC hit, according to a new study by the National Australia Bank.
Reporting on the findings, The Age claims the study found SME business confidence for the September quarter improved by 22 index points to reach a positive reading of 15 index points.
SMEs in all states, with the exception of Western Australia, saw an improvement in business confidence amongst SMEs.
Queensland saw a significant improvement in confidence with the State's index rising from minus 14 points to one point.
The study found health, wholesaling and finance were the best performing SME sectors; conditions remained weak for the transport, retail, most construction and manufacturing sectors.
