Google's Street View has arrived and businesses are in a position to use the 360º street-level mapping service to their advantage, Smart Company reports.
Beyond the ability of businesses to show customers where they are located, the website can also be utilised to reveal available parking areas or public transport stops.
In addition, Street View can be used to hunt down commercial real estate options or scope locations for marketing campaigns, all without leaving the comfort of your workplace.
Apparently businesses will not be able to advertise within Street View. Google says it will not follow the lead of traditional directory services by allowing businesses to upload special information for a fee.

Interesting....
good info for The business advantages of Street.

I agree with all the advantages you have stated in regards to the addition of Street View. Have just launched Street Level view in our mapping in London, UK courtesy of Seety (nothing to do with Google and before they have release theirs!). The launch site of it was a commercial property search engine (http://www.novaloca.com) after they realised the potential it had in making finding commercial property really easy.
However, one of the biggest advantages they have seen from the map users is for those looking for property in London but are currently located outside of the city; they no longer need to make wasted trips to see properties which turn out to be in a location thats not suitable as they can see all they need to on their PC.
